Oneworld Bali Team

Claude Chouinard

founder

Creating and sharing happiness has always been Claude’s life mission. Through meaningful experiences and personal connection, he encourages a way of living that is authentic, mindful, and free from pressure. In 1992, Claude left behind a successful career in Canada to embark on a year-long spiritual journey. That journey extended into nearly eight years of self-discovery, during which he explored ancient wisdom traditions—including Ayurveda, which he encountered while traveling through India. This holistic science of life left a profound impression on him and quietly began shaping his path.

In 2000, Claude settled in Bali, drawn by the island’s healing energy and spiritual depth. He co-founded a day spa in Ubud, and in 2003, together with his partner Iyan, launched Oneworld Retreats—a space where thousands have since come to reflect, heal, and reconnect with their true selves.

He has developed a very special style of teaching, based on Hatha ow that brings harmony, ease and balance to the mind and body. Wayan’s background in Balinese dance has guided him to develop a most unique yoga practice.
